Full itinerary
- We will begin the day with pickup from your hotel in Cusco around 7:00 a.m. and head towards the impressive Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop will be an Andean camelid interpretation center, where you will be able to closely observe alpacas, llamas, vicuñas, and guanacos while learning about their importance in the local culture.
- We will continue to the Taray viewpoint, a privileged spot offering spectacular panoramic views of the valley and the surrounding Andean landscapes.
- Next, we will visit the Pisac archaeological complex, renowned for its extensive agricultural terraces and ceremonial structures. After the tour, we will descend to the town to explore its traditional artisan market, ideal for discovering the work of local communities and purchasing handmade products.
- At midday, we will travel to Urubamba, where you will enjoy a buffet lunch featuring a variety of dishes prepared with local ingredients.
- In the afternoon, we will visit Moray, an enigmatic site composed of circular terraces that functioned as an agricultural experimentation center during Inca times. Afterwards, we will head to the Maras Salt Mines, an impressive complex of thousands of salt pools that are still traditionally worked by local families.
- The next stop will be Ollantaytambo, where you will explore its impressive archaeological complex and picturesque town, considered one of the last inhabited Inca settlements, with cobblestone streets and water channels that remain in operation to this day.
- At the end of the day, you will board the tourist train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, our team will assist you with the transfer to your hotel so you can rest and prepare for your Machu Picchu experience.
- The second day begins very early to experience one of the most anticipated moments of the trip. After breakfast at your hotel, you will take one of the first buses to the citadel of Machu Picchu.
- Upon arrival, you must present your entrance ticket along with your original identification document. Once inside, you will begin a guided tour through the most important sectors of Machu Picchu, accompanied by a professional guide who will explain the history, architecture, and significance of this incredible site.
- The guided tour lasts approximately 2 hours and follows the circuit assigned to your reservation. This tour includes Circuit 2, considered the most complete. If unavailable, the best alternative (Circuit 1 or 3) will be arranged. Therefore, we recommend securing your reservation in advance.
- At the end of the guided visit, you will have free time to continue exploring on your own or, if you wish, hike Huayna Picchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain (optional activity, not included, and subject to prior availability).
- Afterwards, you will descend by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you may have lunch on your own at one of the town’s restaurants.
- In the afternoon, you will board the return train to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, our transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco, with an estimated arrival around 8:00 p.m.
