Overview
Experience one of the most impressive cultural celebrations in South America during the famous Inti Raymi Festival in Cusco. Known as the Festival of the Sun, Inti Raymi was one of the most important ceremonies of the Inca Empire and was held in honor of the Sun God, Inti, the highest deity of Inca culture.
Every June 24th, thousands of visitors from around the world arrive in Cusco to witness this spectacular historical reenactment filled with Andean music, traditional dances, colorful costumes, and ancestral ceremonies performed entirely in the Quechua language.
The celebration takes place in three emblematic locations in Cusco: Qoricancha, the Plaza de Armas, and the fortress of Sacsayhuamán, where the main ceremony is held.

Hotel Pickup
The experience begins in the morning with pickup from your hotel in Cusco to begin this unforgettable cultural celebration.
Ceremony at Qoricancha
The first part of the festival takes place at Qoricancha, the ancient Temple of the Sun of the Incas. Here, the opening ceremony in honor of the Sun God Inti is performed, accompanied by traditional music and cultural reenactments.
Celebration at Cusco’s Plaza de Armas
We will then continue to Cusco’s Plaza de Armas, where traditional dances and historical performances take place in front of hundreds of national and international spectators.
Main Ceremony at Sacsayhuamán
Afterward, we will head to the impressive archaeological complex of Sacsayhuamán, the main stage of Inti Raymi.
From the tourist stands, you will enjoy a spectacular reenactment of Inca ceremonies, where actors and performers dressed in traditional costumes represent the Inca emperor, the nobility, and the four regions of the ancient Tahuantinsuyo.
The ceremony includes Andean music, ancestral rituals, offerings to the Sun, and cultural performances that revive the greatness of the Inca civilization.
Return to Cusco
After the festival concludes, return to Cusco and transfer back to your hotel.
