Overview
Enjoy an unforgettable experience exploring the history, culture, and most impressive landscapes of southern Peru. This journey combines the best of the Inca legacy with unique natural scenery, designed for you to enjoy every moment without worries.
You will begin in the city of Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, where you will discover its historical and architectural richness. Then, you will explore the Sacred Valley, visiting iconic places such as Moray and the Maras Salt Mines.
From Ollantaytambo, you will travel by train to the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu, where you will enjoy a guided tour to uncover its secrets and significance.
The experience continues with a hike to the impressive Rainbow Mountain, one of the most breathtaking natural landscapes in the Andes.
Full itinerary
- Upon your arrival at Cusco Airport, our team will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. This first day is designed to help you acclimatize to the altitude.
- In the afternoon, you will begin a guided city tour, visiting the Qoricancha Temple, the Plaza de Armas, and the Cathedral. Then, you will explore the archaeological complexes of Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay.
- At the end of the tour, return to your hotel and free evening.
- After breakfast at your hotel, we will begin the journey to the Sacred Valley. During the trip, you will enjoy Andean landscapes and contact with local culture.
- You will visit Chinchero and its textile traditions, followed by the archaeological site of Moray and the Maras Salt Mines.
- Afterwards, you will enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba. In the afternoon, you will continue to Ollantaytambo, where you will board the train to Aguas Calientes.
- Arrival in Aguas Calientes, transfer to the hotel, and rest.
- Very early in the morning, you will board the bus to Machu Picchu to avoid the crowds and enjoy the sunrise.
- You will enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2 hours through the main sectors of the citadel. This tour includes Circuit 2, considered the most complete. If unavailable, the best alternative (Circuit 1 or 3) will be arranged. Therefore, we recommend securing your reservation in advance.
- If you have an additional entrance ticket, you will have the opportunity to hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain on your own, where you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the complex (optional activity and subject to availability).
- At the end of the visit, you will descend back to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time for lunch on your own and to explore the town at your own pace.
- In the afternoon, you will board the return train to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, our transportation will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco, concluding an unforgettable experience.
- Very early departure from Cusco toward the South Valley. After breakfast, you will begin the hike to Rainbow Mountain.
- During the trek, you will enjoy high-mountain landscapes, local wildlife, and views of the Ausangate snow-capped mountain. Upon reaching the summit, you will have time to rest, take photographs, and admire the unique geological formations of the area.
- Afterwards, you will descend and enjoy lunch before returning to Cusco in the afternoon.
- After breakfast at your hotel, at the agreed time, we will transfer you to the airport or bus terminal.
