Discover the best of Cusco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu in a 3-day itinerary designed to help you make the most of your time, without rushing and with efficient organization.
You will begin with a city tour in Cusco, ideal for acclimatizing to the altitude while exploring the main historical sites of the ancient Inca capital. The following day, you will tour the Sacred Valley, visiting iconic destinations such as Pisac, Moray, the Maras Salt Mines, and Ollantaytambo, before taking the train to Aguas Calientes.
On the third day, you will enjoy the most anticipated experience: a visit to Machu Picchu with a guided tour that will allow you to understand its history, architecture, and significance.
This program brings together the most important destinations in an optimized version while maintaining high-quality service and smooth logistics from beginning to end.
Full itinerary
- Upon your arrival at Cusco Airport, we will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in the city center. This first day is designed for gradual acclimatization to the altitude.
- In the afternoon, at approximately 1:00 p.m., you will begin a guided city tour. You will visit the Plaza de Armas, the Qoricancha Temple, and the main archaeological complexes located around the city: Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay.
- This tour will allow you to learn about the history and importance of the Inca capital, preparing you for the experiences of the following days.
- After breakfast at the hotel, we will begin the journey to the Sacred Valley around 7:30 a.m. During the trip, you will enjoy Andean landscapes, natural viewpoints, and contact with local culture.
- You will visit an Andean camelid center and then the Pisac archaeological complex, where you will admire its terraces and Inca structures, as well as its traditional market.
- The tour continues to Urubamba, where you will enjoy a buffet lunch. In the afternoon, you will explore Moray and the Maras Salt Mines, two of the valley’s most representative sites.
- Finally, you will arrive in Ollantaytambo, a still-inhabited Inca town, where you will board the train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and rest.
- The day begins early. After breakfast at the hotel, you will take the bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu.
- You will enjoy a guided tour through the main sectors of the citadel, where you will learn about its history, functions, and the importance of this site considered one of the wonders of the world. This tour includes Circuit 2, considered the most complete. If unavailable, the best alternative (Circuit 1 or 3) will be arranged. Therefore, we recommend securing your reservation in advance.
- At the end of the tour, you will have free time to take photographs or, if reserved in advance, hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (optional activity).
- Afterwards, you will descend to Aguas Calientes to board the return train to Ollantaytambo, where our transportation will take you back to Cusco. Arrival is expected around 8:00 p.m.
