Overview
Discover two of the most impressive destinations in the Sacred Valley of the Incas on an exciting ATV adventure. This tour combines spectacular Andean landscapes, Inca history, and adrenaline, making it one of the best half-day experiences near Cusco.
During the tour, you will visit the famous Maras Salt Mines, an impressive complex of more than 3,000 salt pools used since pre-Inca times, and the archaeological complex of Moray, renowned for its enormous circular terraces that functioned as an ancient Inca agricultural laboratory.
Riding ATVs, you will travel through beautiful Andean landscapes surrounded by mountains, glaciers, traditional communities, and vast agricultural fields, enjoying a unique experience that combines culture, nature, and adventure in the heart of the Sacred Valley.

Full itinerary
- The adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Cusco at approximately 7:00 a.m. as we head toward the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
- Our first stop will be the impressive Maras Salt Mines, where you will observe thousands of salt pools built into the mountainside and learn about the traditional extraction process that continues to this day.
- We will then continue to the community of Cruzpata, where our ATV base is located. Here, the guide will provide a safety briefing and ATV driving instructions, followed by a short practice session before beginning the tour.
- Afterwards, we will start the adventure driving through spectacular Andean landscapes surrounded by mountains, glaciers, agricultural fields, and small traditional communities. During the ride, we will make several stops to take photos and enjoy the incredible views of the Sacred Valley.
- Our next stop will be the archaeological complex of Moray, one of the most fascinating sites in the region. Its enormous circular terraces were used by the Incas as an agricultural experimental center to study different microclimates and crops.
- After exploring Moray and enjoying the panoramic views of the nearby snow-capped mountains, we will return by ATV to the base in Cruzpata, where our transportation will be waiting to take us back to Cusco.
- Finally, we will return to the city and drop you off near Cusco’s Main Square.
