Overview
Before the sun illuminates the Andes, an adventure begins. Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca, is one of those destinations that seems unreal: a natural masterpiece painted by minerals and the passage of time. This journey will lead you to challenge the altitude, connect with nature, and contemplate one of the most astonishing landscapes on the planet. It is not just a hike, but an experience felt in every step.

Full itinerary
- Early Morning Departure
The adventure begins in the early hours of the morning with pickup from your hotel. We will travel south of Cusco while the sunrise begins to appear between the mountains. - Cusipata – Andean Breakfast
Arrival in the town of Cusipata, where you will enjoy an energizing breakfast to prepare for the hike. - Beginning of the Hike
Transfer to the starting point of the hike. From here begins a trek of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours, crossing high Andean landscapes surrounded by mountains, local wildlife such as llamas and alpacas, and spectacular views. - Vinicunca – Rainbow Mountain
Upon reaching the summit, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking view of natural colored stripes that make this place one of the most photographed destinations in Peru. You will have time to rest, take photos, and enjoy the surroundings. - Red Valley (Optional)
If you choose to explore a little further, you may visit the Red Valley, an equally stunning and less crowded alternative landscape. - Return and Lunch
Descent along the same route and transfer back to Cusipata to enjoy a comforting lunch. - Return to Cusco
Finally, return to the city of Cusco in the afternoon.
